Route 66 Williams Arizona!

On the way back from the Grand Canyon I stayed for the night in Flagstaff which was a small town in the middle of the dessert which was a little bit scary. After driving around Flagstaff we drove out of Flagstaff and went to visit an old town which is on Route 66 called Williams. The town looked like a scene from a Wild West movie the stores stocked animal furs, cowboy hats and leather cowboy’s boots. The men walked around the street in cowboy hats and boots which was very strange. My family and I stood out like a sore thumb. Whilst we were there the town was having a street parade so everyone sat along the road to watch it. It was very interesting how this small town was so close and that they still lived in the past but everyone seemed very happy to be living there. It was great to see some of the American traditions like the rugby team, the cheerleaders and the people on horseback.
